Alberto has spent fifteen years working in data science, for companies including Deloitte, Tesla and a number of tech startups.

With a lifelong interest in the intersection of data science, economics, behavioural science, and philosophy, Alberto started his career working as an actuary in London. In 2013, he started to teach himself machine learning and artificial intelligence.

In 2015, Alberto co-founded Spixii – an award-winning insurtech chatbot provider that helped the world’s largest insurers connect with their customers at scale. He also founded Grenade Inc – a tech platform built to help insurance agents save time on customer acquisition, lead qualification, and quoting.

In August 2021, Alberto released his debut book, ‘The Ethics of AI: Facts, Fictions, and Forecasts’. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from New York University, and an MSc in Statistics from the Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca.

Alberto is passionate about helping business leaders, investors, and young aspiring entrepeneurs to use technology to ethically shape the future of work and build fulfilling careers.
